Dana Ball | Director
Dana is a Charleston native and has been a bodyworker since 2008. She was led to massage after her Mom sustained a work-related injury. She went with her Mom to physical therapy appointments and was shown many ways to continue her treatment at home. Dana graduated from the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in 2008. She has worked for several chiropractors and for small massage businesses. Currently, Dana is self-employed and serves the Moncks Corner community.
Dana has taught and run several entry-level programs since 2015 and wanted to bring the best to the massage classroom. In order to do that, she decided to open a massage school. Carolina School of Bodywork is the only Bodyworker owned Massage School in South Carolina and employs talented and evidence-informed instructors that are passionate about their craft. Dana wants to help as many people as possible live better, pain-free lives, and teaching others helps fulfill that desire.
She currently serves as a professional member for the Internal Review Committee for the Massage/Bodywork Board for South Carolina Labor, Licensing and Regulation. She has also served on the Educational Task Force for the Massage Board since 2021. She is a proud member of the Associated Bodywork/Massage Professionals since 2008. -

Dr. Stephen Redmon
Stephen’s journey into bodywork began after a serious motor vehicle accident in 2011 left his lower back permanently injured. As he regained a sense of normalcy in his life, he felt a deep desire to help others facing similar or even worse conditions. This led him to pursue a career dedicated to healing and rehabilitation.
In 2014, he graduated from Trident Technical College with a certificate in massage therapy, followed by degrees in Exercise Science from the College of Charleston and Chiropractic Care from Life University. He also holds a post-graduate certification as a Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®). With additional specialized training in massage therapy, Stephen is equipped to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries while optimizing performance.
Stephen’s extensive training and personal experience drive his passion for helping others. He looks forward to sharing his knowledge with students, empowering them to better assist those suffering from chronic pain and disability. Outside the classroom, Stephen treats patients in his downtown office, contributes peer-reviewed work to the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, and enjoys deep diving into all things related to conservative care for neuromusculoskeletal conditions. -
