Our Team

  • Dana Ball - Director

Dana, a Charleston native, has been a licensed bodyworker since 2008. She was inspired by her mother’s recovery from a work injury after learning ways to help her. A graduate of the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy, she has worked with chiropractors and small businesses and now serves the Moncks Corner community through her private practice.

Since 2015, Dana has led and taught entry-level massage programs. Her commitment to high-quality education led her to open Carolina School of Bodywork—the only bodyworker-owned massage school in the Lowcountry—where she cultivates an evidence-informed, student-centered learning environment.

Dana serves on the Internal Review Committee and Educational Task Force for the SC Massage/Bodywork Board and has been a proud member of ABMP since 2008.

    Casey Childs

After years of working as a Medical Assistant and Physical Therapy Tech, Casey attended massage school and became a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist in Spring of 2017.

Casey primarily works with clients who have chronic pain, chronic conditions and/or want to improve or optimize movement. She has advanced training in a variety of modalities ranging from Thai Yoga Therapy to Trauma Informed Bodywork.

She began teaching Anatomy & Physiology in the Summer of 2019.
Immediately, she fell in love with teaching others what she is most passionate about. Casey continues to further her knowledge daily, even reading the latest research for fun. Her goal is to make learning about the human body fun and comprehensible to everyone and to increase accessibility of preventative healthcare.

    Mina Familar-Ragsdale

Mina had always loved helping others. When a medical condition sidelined her in 2017, massage was an integral part of her healing process. Massage has enabled her to take control of her own healing, and she now considers it to be a necessity of life. Massage therapy is not only her career, it is her calling.

Mina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Meredith College, and has been licensed in SC to perform massage since 2019. She is a Reiki Master, and is certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Mina is teaching Massage Theory and Practice Management at CSB. When she isn’t in the classroom, she is providing hands-on work in her practice Seva Mind Body Soul.

    Brittany Clark

Brittany had always felt led to help others. She attended Pennsylvania State University to obtain her Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistance in 2015. Upon moving to South Carolina, she struggled to find work within her field.

Brittany enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at Trident Tech in 2019, and Dana was one of her instructors. After graduation, she has worked in a variety of settings. Brittany supervises the student massage clinic and teaches Massage Theory and Practice Management. When she isn’t helping students at CSB, she is working in her practice Palm Massage in Summerville.

    Mary-Alice Ellis

Mary-Alice discovered her passion for massage therapy after years behind a desk and graduated in 2021. After graduation, she joined Massage Envy’s team. She quickly advanced to Lead Therapist and was named the company’s nationwide “Massage Therapist of the Year” in 2023.

Dedicated to helping others thrive, she now supervises the student massage clinic. She finds purpose guiding future therapists in proper body mechanics and setting the foundation for lasting, healthy careers. She’s most inspired by the relief and gratitude her clients express after each session.
