We know we’re new to you.
We are not new to the Massage Education scene, however. We’ve been educating entry-level and professional massage therapists locally for a while. Here’s what other massage therapists and the people who hire our graduates have to say!

I met Dana Ball at a local massage school just about 4 years ago. Dana is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, dedicated and educated in Massage Therapy and Bodywork Therapy. Dana’s students come out of school motivated, informed, and most important, trained in many different types of modalities (Swedish, Prenatal, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Deep Tissue and mire). I have found that graduates under her education, tutelage, and direction are successful, and ready to take the National MBLEX testing, to become Licensed Massage Therapist.
I also have had the pleasure of meeting Casey Childs, as well at that time. She was in charge of the student clinics and overseeing the progress of each student. Casey was equally involved and passionate regarding the success of their students.
I have had the pleasure of hiring several of Dana and Casey’s former students in the past, and look forward to hiring many more in the future. I highly recommend you to contact Dana, regarding the Massage Therapy program at Carolina School of Bodywork.

I would highly recommend all that are thinking about or wanting to become a Massage Therapist attend this school in Charleston! The instructors you’ll find here are your “real life” people who want the absolute best for you and this career path. Many with a number of years experience in the field and specialty practice that contributes so much.
I had the absolute pleasure of being taught by two of its instructors Casey Child’s & Stephen Redmon who honestly I had the best experience with. They make learning enjoyable, fun & interactive.
Brandon A., LMT
Casey has an energy that just makes you come alive, her insight into anatomy and how the body functions at a cellular level is profoundly unique and truly beautiful how she tells the story of the body. While Stephen is quite humorous and will have you feeling extra secure on muscle/skeletal anatomy & all things kinesiology.. + bonus points go to him for great test taking strategy suggestions!
Had it not been for these two and their experience I wouldn’t be half the licensed therapist I am today, I truly appreciate the knowledge passed onto me and all the fun we had in classes.
As a former student of both Dana and Casey, I can say that they are the best people in this field to educate a future massage therapist! Both of them are extremely hardworking and dedicated to each and every one of their students. They make learning about the human body fun and exciting. These two women are some of the most passionate and talented educators and massage therapists you can find. Having them as instructors not only made me want to go to class, but look forward to it each day. They really do everything within their power to help their students not only succeed, but thrive. As a former massage therapy student, I felt very prepared and empowered to do the work I was trained to do with their help. If you’re looking to go into the massage therapy field, these two are EXACTLY what you want and need from an instructor. As a current massage therapist, I can 100% say I wouldn’t be where I am today without these two incredible women!

After taking the class for TMJD and intraoral work with Dana, my client load and my confidence increased! There was plenty of hands-on practice and she watched closely to make sure we had everything 100% correct before the class was over.
Dana is very knowledgeable and shares her knowledge with such grace and ease. Not to mention her wonderful disposition. I would take another training with her in a heartbeat!
After that class, I was able to properly treat TMJD in an emergency situation that came up unexpectedly, I was very confident in the ability to help. Thank you Dana for teaching with your head and your heart.

I’m a former student of both Dana Ball and Casey Childs. Adam Broxton was my first boss as a fledgling LMT. They are all three extremely talented therapists and educators. Any student would be lucky to have just one of them as their teacher. To have all three puts you well ahead of the curve and ready to hit the ground running the minute your license is issued. Under their tutelage you’ll learn techniques and information that will not only equip you to pass your MBLEX on the first try but will aid the development of a healthy clientele that’ll be shocked you haven’t been in practice for years.
Furthermore, they’re not done with you when you graduate. All three are with you for the long run. I graduated MT school in 2020 (I’m a pandemic MT baby!) but I still reach out to them with questions about odd cases that inevitably arise when you’re in the real world. They have never failed to quickly respond and give sound advice.
If anyone were to ask me where to go for massage and bodywork education, I’d send them to this triple crown of educators. Highly recommend!

Dana Ball’s instructing is top notch. Not only is there a lot of hands on instruction but the science and ethics behind touch are invaluable. She has brought an evidence-based education to manual therapy that brings back the respect due to massage therapists since Hollywood’s misconstrued depiction of the profession 30yrs ago. Dana challenges each student to think critically about each client’s needs and to practice open communication with their clients to maintain a professional and safe environment. Highly recommend Carolina Bodywork School.
Bethany K., LMT
Dana was a fabulous instructor. From day one I felt like I was in good hands and getting education from a passionate and talented instructor. She delivers information that is easy to understand while connecting the curriculum to real life experiences. I could feel her passion for the industry through her teaching and I will send everyone who is interested in learning massage therapy to her. I wish I could take the course again just to pick her brain and let more sink in.
